History: Laura was given up for adoption, and at a young age, her adopted parents died, and then she was brough up by aunts. She found her birth certificate and contacted her mother: Thelma Beckett. Thelma had remarried after John's death in 1972 and gave up Laura for adoption. Laura called Thelma, who sent her a letter afterward, saying Sam was somewhere in New Mexico. This prompted Laura to search out her half-brother, and she managed to get into the project complex and is now helping with the retrieval of Genine. She left the project to go to university after the government reinstated its funding to Project Quantum Leap.

History: Samuel Beckett was born in Elkridge, Indiana, United States of America, to John Samuel Beckett and Thelma Louise Beckett. He grew up on their farm with his older brother, Tom, and younger sister, Katie. He could read at the age of two, do calculus in his head at the age of four, and beat a computer at chess at the age of ten. He attended M.I.T. starting in 1970. At age 19, he played in Carnage Hall. Theorising that one could time-travel within his own lifetime, Sam led an elite group of scientists into the desert of New Mexico to develop a top-secret government project known as Quantum Leap. Pressured to prove his theories or lose funding, Sam prematurely stepped into the Accelerator and vanished. He found himself leaping around in time, putting things right that once went wrong, facing mirror images that were not his own. Admiral Albert Calavicci was his holographic observer from the present, feeding him with information from Ziggy on how to better the lives of the people surrounding the leapee. Ziggy is the parallel hybrid computer designed to run Quantum Leap. Pieces of Sam's, as well as Al's and a few other of the top people, DNA were used in construction of the computer in order to give it 'life' and personality. In original history, his brother Tom died in Vietnam on April 8, 1972, but Sam leaped into a comrade and prevented that death. Tom went on to get married and have children, one being Devon Beckett, a nephew to Sam whom he has never met but has a great fascination with Sam's work. When Sam's father died in 1974 of a heart attack, his mother moved to Hawaii to live with Katie and her family. He met Donna Elesee in 1984 and, originally, Donna never showed up to their wedding. On Sam's third leap, he put Donna and her father back together, and they are now married. Toward the end of his days of leaping, Sam fathered a child with Abigale Fuller. Sam met their daugter, Samantha Josephine Fuller (born March 1967), on the following leap involving the town of Pottersburg. In March 2000, Sammy Jo, now age 33, retrieved her father from the annals of time after the government shut down Project Quantum Leap. The Project is now being run illegally.

History: Born June 15, 1934 to an Italian father and a mother of Russian ancestry. When he was a child, his mother ran off with an Encyclopedia salesman, and Al feels part of the reason she left was the pressure of raising Trudy, his sister, who suffered from Down's Syndrome. Al's father died of cancer when Al was eleven, and he and Trudy had to live in an orphanage. Al had ran away from the orphanage and turned to crime. He pick-pocketed Charlie "Black Magic" Walters and was busted. Charlie took Al under his wing and showed him that people did care. After getting out of the orphanage, we went to go get Trudy, and learned that she had died at age sixteen from pneumonia. He went on to college, attending both MIT and the Naval Academy. By the age of 23, Albert Calavicci had become an ensign in the Navy and a fighter pilot stationed at Pensacola, where he picked up the name "Bingo". He eventually rose to the title of Admiral. He married in 1961 to Beth. She was the love of his life -- his one shot at perfect happiness. In 1967, his A-4 went down over the highlands of Vietnam. Al was kept in a cage near Cham Hoi until after the U.S. had pulled out in 1973. His love for Beth kept him alive. In April 1970, he was nearly repatriated during a rescue attempt but it failed. Once Al was repatriated, he found that his wife had declared him dead and had married another. Not too long after Vietnam, Al began working with NASA, where he circled the moon ten times. Times were good, but short lived. He met a young man while at Starbright that helped change him around ~ Sam Beckett. The pair became fast friends. Admiral Calavicci is known for his womanizing ways and his list of female companions is almost legendary. He's been married five times and spent his first, third and fifth honeymoons in Niagara Falls. *(1:Beth, 2:Unknown, 3: Ruthie, 4: Sharon, 5: Maxine) At one point, his love interest, was Tina, a programmer at Project Quantum Leap. Now, after Sam fixed things with his wife, he is married to Beth and has four daughters by her. Al's sexual prowess is legendary - especially in his own mind. Sex seems to be on his brain often, and he holographically leches after women. Al believes in the Devil, and says that his experience as a POW showed him that the Devil exists. Interestingly, Al is easily spooked and tends to believe in the supernatural more that he will admit too. He is a passionate environmentalist. He is also a big sports fan. After finding out that his daughter, Genine, had continued the leaping process when Sam came home, he found out that Genine had cancer. It was during this time that Al began to have TIAs (mini strokes). He lost his memory. Once that Genine was found in time, Al calmed down until she leapt into a life that was with Charles Manson. From there, Genine leapt into Al's father, and then was captured by Lothos. After a basic leap of several people, he is back at the Project suffering from TIA and the implants that Lothos placed in his brain while he was there in the Evil Project. Once returning to the Project, he became aware that Alia was present with them. Being upset that she was there, he basicly freaks out. The implants were removed, and Al is now taking it easy.

But because Lothos was highly impressed with Trevor's exceptional talent for mathematics, especially in logistical logic, he arranged for him to attend New York University, from which he graduated cum laude June 1998. Despite impressive offers from several businesses, there was never any question of where Trevor's talents would be put to use, and he returned to Lothos's complex one week after he graduated from NYU. Lothos immediately placed him in the primary logistics area of his complex where he had been until about three weeks ago. At that time, he was transferred to the Logistics Training Sector where he trains other technicians to perform the less meticulous, but very necessary computer duties dealing with the complex's primary function... time travel. He thoroughly enjoys the work he does, and though not a workaholic, he won't put an assignment or task aside until it's completed. When working he is very meticulous and precise, keeps his newly-assigned office in apple order. However, though not a slob by any measure, he's not so much of a 'neatnik' in his personal quarters, taking full advantage of the complex's housekeeping service. Trevor has a great sense of humor, and likes light jazz and much to the chagrin of some of his pals, also has a thing for the "old big band" music. And he loves chocolate! He also enjoys the outdoors, when he gets the opportunity to get outside the complex. Enjoys hiking and fishing on the surprisingly extensive acreage which surrounds the complex, all of which is owned, exclusively, by Lothos. Important notes: He's Tala's new love interest. History: He was taught by Zoey in the ways of "persuasion", and learns his lesson well, always being a prize student in Zoey's eyes. Edward's job involves pursuading temporary visitors (leapees) to divulge information. Methods used - anything that causes pain of any sort; also holds additional title of Torture Master (TM) - exactly what title implies - uses torture of all forms to correct and/or punish any and all inhabitants of Lothos's complex. Preferred method(s): Sexual abuse and intimidation also uses physical abuse and intimidation, prefering to correct and/or punish females, but is equally adept in his methods with males. Edward has extremely strong sexual appetites. His dual ranks of MPT and TM give him more than adequate opportunity to satisfy those appetites. However, he made the mistake of satisfying his appetites outside the boundaries of his job description. He happened upon Tala (unknown is the fact that she is Lothos's daughter) while she was addressing Lothos to accept punishment for speaking carelessly about Sam Beckett. He lied to her, saying he was there to deliver her punishment, and then proceeded to willfully rape and beat her repeatedly over a period of about 6 hours. When found out by Lothos, he pays a heavy price. As an example to all active humans, of all ranks, Edward is publicly emasculated (his genitals surgically removed), and his tongue is cut out....without benefit of anesthesia. He is now recovering in an isolated room near the correctional facility in Lothos's complex.

History: Gooshie was born in Monticello, New York, United State of America, to Herbert and Francis Gushman. He attended New York University (in New York City) and MIT (in Boston), and impressed the socks off of a young Samuel Beckett. When Project Quantum Leap was in its beginning, Sam recruited Gooshie to be the head programmer of the then-theoretical hybrid computer. Also at this time, he met Admiral Albert Calavicci, who gave him his nickname. When the project was closed down in July 1999, Sam declared dead by the government, Gooshie left with Tina Martinez-O'Farrell (since Sam saved Beth and Al's marriage), and they broke up in early November. In August, Gooshie was offered a position at the International Safety and Surveilance of the Internet Corporation (ISSIC). A week after Sam had been retrieved by Samantha Josephine Fuller, his daughter, and her friend, Sable Mero, Ziggy sent an e-mail to Gooshie and others to let them know. Gooshie took a leave of absence for a "family emergency" and arrived in Stallion's Gate, New Mexico, about a week after Sam's return. Eager to return to Ziggy, his digital soul mate, he drove his red, brand-new, 2000 BMW Roadster as fast as possible right up to the gates of the Project. Once inside, he was reuinted with all of his friends, and caught the eye of Sable, a new technician. They got close very quickly, Gooshie still being on the rebound from Tina. However, when Tina shows up on the next day, she is leaped into by Trinity Tremaine, an evil leaper from Lothos. Trinity managed to throw a monkey in the wrench of their relationship, but they made up after a large squabble.

And whatever is special to Lothos is strictly "hands off" to every other human in the his complex. So, he and Genine are walking a thin line. Will they be found out? The answer is, yes. They were found out. Dr. Hugen was tortured and is now recuperating in the deep, dark recesses of the complex with... Edward. He impreganated Tala, who gave birth to their triplets (two boys, one girl) after only 6.5 months. However, she plans on marrying Trevor Conroy.

Every time she helps someone, she said, she moves on to her next assignment. No one from that time remembers she was there, she explains. Al believes that she is loco. Angela has come to the Project for a second time. Angela knows that Alia has leapt into the Project, and she also knows that Zoey is in the room. After having helped Al, she bid goodbye to Beth and left the project again. She is a known enemy of Lothos.

History: Tala has her mother's temper and her father's brains. She is quite bright and can be compared as the evil Sammy Jo. She is very intuitive and is the only person in Lothos's project that does not have implants in her brain that allow Lothos to talk to her 'brain to brain'. She also is very sexual in nature since she holds herself well, and since her outfit is mostly made of Lycra that clings to her curves. Tala is looking for a partner for herself but can't seem to find one worthy for herself who Lothos will allow. She did at one point mention to Lothos that Dr. Beckett could be a good match. Thinking that Lothos was going to punish her for the comment made, she returned to her room. As she apologized to Lothos for her words, Edward entered her room and attacked her - with Tala believing that she was being 'corrected' for her words. When found that Edward did this on his own actions, Tala wants her revenge. Edward was *cough* dismembered for his actions, and thrown in the the deep, dark recesses of the complex, now joined by Dr. Hugen. Tala met up with Trevor Conroy, and they hit it off, after a few fights and misunderstandings involving the good Dr. Hugen. Peter and Tala had an affair, which ended up with Tala pregnant: with triplets. After only over six and a half months of prenancy, Tala went into labour, and gave birth to her two sons and one daughter.

Zoey Alexandra Malvison

Job description: Zoey went from programmer to observer back to programmer. She is currently the head programmer for Lothos, essentially the counterpart to Gooshie.
History: Zoey Alexandra Malvison was born in Birmingham, United Kingdom, to her parents Matthew and Sarah Malvison. At a young age, she was noticed to be gifted and was enriched in private schooling, and eventually studied at Oxford University. She worked in the field of science, studying quantum physics, astrology, and computer sciences. Informed about a time-travelling project in 1978, hidden in the Canadian Shield, Zoey took up the opportunity to become influencial in one of the greatest feats of human kind. In 1979 she arrived in Cross Lake, Manitoba, and soon realised exactly what the project was about and was immediately attracted to it. Zoë also helped build up Lothos to his current stature, and became mysteriously pregnant very soon after joining the project, and gave birth to her twin daughters, Tala and Siren, in 1980. Even though she does not know who her daughters are, Zoey knows that the girls are still in the complex, somewhere, but does not wish to find them since she didn't want them in the first place. Zoey worked her way up through the ranks with ease, always being the gleam in Lothos's eye. However, upon their first encounter with Sam Beckett, she failed as an observer to Alia. Both Alia and Zoey were sentenced to correction, and a few months later met up with Sam again. This time, Alia leaped with Sam into a women's prison. Zoey leaped into the warden, aided by Thames as her hologram, but was shot after shooting Alia. Both women leaped out, Alia being set free, and Zoey being retrieved by Lothos. Once back to full health a few weeks later, Zoey continued her training of apprentice leapers. One she held in high regard, Trinity, was being trained to leap into Project Quantum Leap. In a few months, Zoey convinced Lothos to send Trinity to try to kill Sam. It failed, and once again Zoey was placed in correction, being the second time that she failed Lothos, for two months by the expert TM, Mara. Zoey was rescued from correction to help him with the discovery of Genine and Dr. Hugen's affair, along with Thames.

Tina Emilia Martinez-O'Farrell

History: Tina Martinez was born in Berkeley, California, United States of Ameria, to her parents Suzanna and Richard Martinez. She led a normal childhood life in a middle-class setting and attended Berkeley University at the age of eighteen, graduating at twenty-one with honours in computer engineering sciences. Tina met Chris O'Farrell, a U.S. marine, in February 1988 and married him six months later, keeping her original last name and appending Chris's. His ship was lost at sea in June 1989 and the entire crew was declared dead. Tina grieved for a year and then got a job in the computer field. She joined Project Quantum Leap in 1994 through channels of Chris's father, a politician in Washington D.C., and fell in love with Admiral Albert Calavicci when she first laid eyes on him. In 1999, when Doctor Samuel Beckett changed Al's life by convincing his first wife, Beth, to wait for him, everything since they met changed and Tina found herself with Irving "Gooshie" Gushman, the head programmer at PQL. Everybody at the Project had vague memories of the original history, and things were a little uncomfortable between Tina and Al from then on. (Of course, Ziggy kept track of everything, original and altered.) When the Project was deemed unprofitable a few months after Sam helped Al and Beth, Tina and Gooshie moved to California. After a couple of months, they broke up and Gooshie moved to the U.S. Mid-West. In late 1999, PQL was started up again, illegally, and Tina received an e-mail from Ziggy. She immediately headed for Stallion's Gate, New Mexico, and upon her arrival at the entrance of the complex, Tina was leaped into by Trinity Tremaine, an evil leaper from Lothos. Trinity managed to break up Gooshie and Sable for a few days, and tried to kill Sam Beckett. In a sudden dose of guilt, the evil leaper purposfully mis-aimed the gun she had on Sam, shooting him in the shoulder, and Lothos immediately leaped her out to place Tina back in her real body. Seeing Sam out cold and the gun in her hand, Tina immediately thought that it was her fault. She blamed herself, no matter how much Doctor Verbina Beeks told her the contrary. They had to go to the infirmary to check up on the three unconcious people: Sam, Sammy Jo, and Al. However, Tina stayed by the door and happened to be approached by Sable, who knew that it was no longer Trinity. Tina was so upset, however, that she ran away and into Gooshie, who comforted her until Sable came upon them. Sable went to her quarters to wait for Gooshie until he finished trying to find a lock on Genine, who is trapped by Lothos. Tina and Gooshie went to the Control Room, but had to give up and they both went to get some rest. Tina found her old quarters and collapsed on the bed, weeping for what she feels she did to Sam. She is currently in her quarters again, upset over the collapsing infrastructure that is her life.
